What has surprised you most about working at Implement? 

What surprised me the most was how our network organisation works, how we get projects through our internal network, and how much this can influence the kind of projects we get. 

Can you share an example of how teamwork and collaboration play a role in your daily work? 

Teamwork and collaboration are what make my daily work both fun and rewarding, especially when we sit together to craft and create solutions to a problem. This is essential for bringing together different perspectives and knowledge from other organisations, as well as across business lines and practices, so we can find the right path forward and identify and mitigate risks.

What skills have you gained or improved upon since starting your role here?

I've enhanced my analytical skills, especially in breaking down complex data and solving problems. I've also gained experience leading initiatives and managing projects. My communication skills have improved, too, making me more confident in client meetings and team collaborations. A key highlight has been learning to think strategically and develop creative solutions for our clients, supported by Implement University and my colleagues.

What advice would you give to other young professionals considering a career at Implement?

Dive in with an open mind and embrace new challenges. The pace is fast, and the learning curve steep, so don’t hesitate to ask questions or seek help. Building connections within the company is essential, as these relationships will support you both inside and outside of work. Most importantly, enjoy the journey!

What is the company culture like at Implement, and how does it support young professionals?

Implement's culture is very entrepreneurial. You're given a lot of autonomy but also expected to take ownership and make decisions about where you want to grow, what you want to work on, and who you want to learn from. While you get great support from everyone around you, it always feels like you’re in the driver’s seat. So, if you want to actively shape your career rather than follow a set path, this is the place to do so.

What are your future career aspirations, and how is Implement helping you achieve them?

My focus will continue to evolve and Implement supports that. Each year, you choose your leader and co-create a 'focus contract' that reflects your interest, your development goals, and how you want to grow as a consultant. This makes it easy to shift your focus and double down on where you thrive, with leadership that aligns with you and your ambitions.

What motivated you to join Implement? 

As a business student, I was curious about consulting but not necessarily attracted to what I perceived as quite rigid structures, low flexibility, and strong hierarchies in the industry. I spoke to several consultancies, but I was immediately drawn to Implement’s more modern approach. The strong emphasis on people and the opportunity to shape your own career really stood out. These values have proven true throughout my time here – from the recruitment process to being able to shape my career around what I find interesting and fulfilling. 

What makes Implement different from other consulting firms? 

Implement rethinks ways of working across virtually all aspects of how we operate. In every interaction, there is a strong focus on both the individual, the team, and the client. We are genuinely committed to enabling every colleague to thrive, building a strong and distinctive culture, and collaborating closely with our clients to spark energy, build ownership, and create real impact.

Can you describe a typical day in your role at Implement?

Most days are different, but when I'm not traveling for workshops or training, I start with coffee and emails at home. At the office, I check in with my team, then focus on work. Afternoons are spent in client meetings and internal projects, like DEI initiatives. I end the day with a check-out session with my team before heading to spinning or yoga.

What opportunities for learning and development have you found most valuable at Implement?

Working closely with clients from the very first week has been invaluable in learning how to best support them with my expertise in leadership, culture, and change. The opportunity to learn from more experienced colleagues, while engaging in hands-on projects, has been extremely helpful in building my confidence and refining my skills.

What has surprised you most about working at Implement? 

What surprised me most is how much effort is spent on developing a nice culture and working environment, be it in the office, at a conference, or out in the wilderness. 

These occasions provide an opportunity to get to know both your colleagues and yourself better, and to reflect on your behaviour and how you can develop as a consultant and as a person. And in general, we’re encouraged to bring our whole selves to work by being open, authentic, and vulnerable. This creates a very warm, familiar, and psychologically safe working environment, where trust is high and many good ideas are born.

Can you share an example of how teamwork and collaboration play a role in your daily work? 

The open and non‑hierarchical culture makes it easy to ask questions, challenge ideas, and learn fast. I typically work in project teams with around 3–7 team members from our side and then a team from the client side. What I really like about this kind of collaborative project work is that people bring different experiences and perspectives, and by building on each other’s strengths, the team can achieve strong results and learn a lot along the way.
