Organisation
"I wish that I could say that the people closest to the problem have the authority to solve it."

Their answers reveal a tension between ambition and reality in organisational transformation. And the conversations go beyond corporate theatre to help us see where we want to go and how that differs from where we are today.
As change becomes the norm, the ability to hold these conversations becomes a core leadership capability. At Implement Consulting Group, we’ve spent 30 years helping our clients have these conversations, move forward with purpose, and shape directions that people actually want to follow.
We come from a heritage of flat hierarchies and a low power distance, and we believe – in fact, we know – that the odds of success radically improve when change makes sense on a personal level for the people involved.
It all started in Denmark in 1996, with the idea of creating sustainable impact for the organisations we work with. We believe consulting is more than giving advice. It means a close partnership with you from day one, solving problems together, and respecting the skills we each bring to the table. We call it collaborative consulting.
For thirty years, we've helped organisations navigate change, embrace bold ideas, and transform challenges into opportunities.
One key pillar of our culture is the constant desire to become better at what we do – and to help others do the same. We founded Implement Learning Institute to train and develop project managers and employees across the private and public sectors.
Thought Leaders began as an internal event. In 2009 we opened it to our wider community, with John Kotter on leading change in tough conditions.
With the Danish Industry Foundation and Aarhus University, we co-developed Half Double, a hybrid project management approach built on impact, flow, and leadership. The aim: double the impact in half the time.
From fragile to agile: at Thought Leaders 2017, Herminia Ibarra, Gary Hamel, and Jim Hagemann Snabe showed how leadership that creates followership makes organisations more agile.
We launched Changing Conversations, a podcast that brings together business leaders, management thinkers, and academics to discuss how change happens, for us as humans and for organisations.
At our third operations event, a record 1,200 participants joined us and Wharton’s Ethan Mollick to explore how AI delivers real operational impact when technology, ways of working, and people evolve together.
In 2026 we turned 30. Three decades on, we still believe transformation begins with a conversation.
