An omni-channel retail company
eCom warehouse strategy and design
The project
An omni-channel retail company with over 15 000 SKUs serving both B2C and B2B-customers had seen significant growth and could no longer efficiently operate in their current warehouse footprint.
The why
With the end goal to realise a new and dedicated e-com warehouse, enabling future demand and ensuring efficient operations, the scope of the project included:
- Evaluation and updating of the supply chain strategy and how the new warehouse would fit into the network
- Detailed design of operational areas in the new warehouse
- Evaluation of WMS and picking automation opportunities
- Support of the decision making process

- Business case for investment in a new e-com warehouse

- Defined warehouse flows and scope of new warehouse
- Dimensioning of warehouse building blocks through capacity simulations based on supply chain strategy, and volume and assortment growth forecasts

The project
Implement supported a global construction equipment manufacturer with supply chain improvement.
The why
After some years of restructuring in the organization and with declining profitability at specific business areas the client wanted to strengthen their European supply chain.
A project was initiated with a focus on two tracks:
1. Implement the core elements of the operating system (Performance management, Process standardization, Flow management, Capability and Improvement management.
2. To secure the link between S&OP, strategic, tactical and operational processes to reach desired goals.
The results
- A completely new operating model.
- New S&OP processes supplied policies, rules and prioritization guidelines for tactical and operational decisions.
